New CEA President Appointed - May 23, 2024

Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) is pleased to announce the election of its 2024/2025 President, Chris Workman. Chris is a Partner and President of Thurber Engineering Ltd. Having obtained both his Civil Engineering (Co-op Program), and M.Eng. (Geotechnical) from the University of Alberta, Chris now has over 36 years of geotechnical consulting engineering experience. He has worked on a large variety of projects throughout Alberta and the British Columbia Interior, and his primary technical interests lie in heavy foundation design for industry and infrastructure.

Engineering Excellence Recognized at Showcase Awards Gala - April 26, 2024

“Thirteen Awards of Excellence and twelve Awards of Merit were presented at the 27^th Annual Consulting Engineers of Alberta Showcase Awards Gala held April 26 in Edmonton. Fifty-four projects were submitted this year from a cross section of Alberta’s consulting engineering firms. “These awards recognize the best-of-the best in engineering design and innovation,” says CEA President Jason Maurer.
