CEA was formed in 1978 as a registered not-for-profit dedicated to improving the business environment for member firms, and to providing Albertans with the highest standard of engineering design and safety. Today our membership firms create nearly 9,000 jobs for professional engineers, technologists and support staff. Our industry contributes more than $1.9B annually to the Alberta economy.

Our purpose is to promote and enhance the business interests and opportunities of member firms. We offer members access to a network of quality industry services and employee benefit programs. We do this in collaboration with other provincial and territorial associations and with the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada (ACEC).
